So ‘Paloo just informed me that “Deal or no Deal,” when put up against “Prison Break,” gets almost double the number of viewers (15M vs 8M).

ARE YOU FREAKIN’ SERIOUS??

Prison Break is an amazing, thrilling, surprise-filled drama that mixes the best of prison escape films, government conspiracy films and whodunits.

Deal or no Deal is a game show where idiots pick suitcases at random, trying to get $1M.

It’s things like this that make me understand how a retard with a miserable business record can become president of our country.

Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorite new writers of the sci-fi/fantasy genre. (I believe a few other regulars to this site probably agree with me.)
His debut novel was Elantris, which was one of the best stand-alone fantasy novels I have read in quite some time. If you haven’t read it yet, Monkeypup […]

Famous aging internet pinup Cindy Margolis is going to pose for Playboy. I’ve noticed alot of celebrities/supermodels will pose for Playboy long after anybody would care to see them there (e.g. who wanted to see Belinda Carlisle naked in 2001?) So place your bets who will be featured in the May 2016 issue.

So there’s this show called “The Dog Whisperer.” Like you, I thought its name meant that it would blow. After all, who wants to watch a canine version of a gay Robert Redford chick flick? But this show is so much better than its name.
This dude named Cesar can stare down an angry, attacking […]

I’ll not share with you the nightmare that has been the last 90 hours, but I will share with you this thought I had while laying on the floor, my torn-out hair spread out around me: “Is Windows really THAT bad?”
Answer? No. It’s not that bad. Would I prefer to be using something else? Sure. […]

George Bush is featured on the cover of the latest Rolling Stone (see the image above for the actual cover art) and the article inside is a doozy. Basically, the article discusses whether or not GWB is actually the worst president in history, being sure to take all past presidents into account. I won’t ruin […]

No, no, no, I’m not getting rid of the windows in my new home. That’s silly. The Windows the title of this post refers to is Bill Gates’ bloated crashware. I hate Windows and I want out.
So, here’s my question for you, my faithful readers: How the heck should I do this?
Should I […]

Since transitioning to Gmail a month or so ago, I can safely say I will never change email clients again. As long as Gmail’s around, I’ll be using it. And it just got better.
Last week, Google released Google […]

This here’s a link to the blog of Kevin Smith where he recounts his perspective of his friendship with Jason Mewes, the biggest aspect being Mewes’ battle w/heroin and oxycontin addiction. Regardless of what you think of Smith the filmmaker, I think you’ll find it a riveting read.

Scientologists everywhere cheered last night as Tom and Katie’s Cult-Member in training was born. They chose the name Suri, which in Hindu means “My parents are rich, and therefore can get away with naming me any stupid thing they want.” But, at least they didn’t name their child after a fruit or comic book character. […]

Happy Birthday!

I just found out it was Sean’s birthday today. So head on over to his site (click his name ) and wish him a happy 30th!

Great. Now they can climb ropes.

If you’ve visited the site enough, it will come as no surprise to hear that I fear a robot uprising in our future. Here’s another nail in the coffin, a robot that rappels down walls and climbs ropes.

There are few things that make me more nostalgic than old video games. The Atari, Colecovision and the NES factor in many happy childhood moments. So paintings of classic video game characters are right up my alley. This gallery over at IGN is amazing. I’d happily frame and hang the majority of the works in […]

It’s not a secret that I’m a vegetarian. One of three vegetarians in Northern Michigan. It’s always been hard to pinpoint exactly what led me down the path of soy burgers and squash, but I’m pretty sure it was this clip from the simpsons

Ivan the Blimp

Feeling creative? Creative enough to name a blimp? You heard me, a blimp. One of those things in that picture up there.
If you think you can handle it, Goodyear is running a contest to name their newest airship. If you win, you get to ride around in it and some money or something. Also, if […]

Not quite back on the podcasting wagon with Rocket Sauce yet, so today you get a treat to make up for it. Nine excellent tunes from Rocket Sauce’s catalog, with no nattering from the monkeys. This “mix tape” is perfect for playing an FPS, exceeding the speed limit or just blasting at full volume in […]

That’s it, I’m done

Ever since the server problems of 6 months ago, the database crash of 5 months ago and the ensuing host switch, I’ve been messing with the design of Monkeypup. 4 or 5 designs, and none of them pleased me. But I’m done. Maybe the design’s not the best, but I like it enough. Frankly, I […]

Apparently, curing AIDS, Cancer and Alzheimer’s aren’t worth scientist’s time. Instead, they are all busy proving that the sun is bright, skunks stink and puppies are cute.
Way to go, eggheads.
